Standardized Testing
CAT Test
The California Achievement Test (CAT) is one of the most widely used of the student assessments for basic academic skills. The CAT provides educators, students and their parents with a measure of achievement and national comparison in reading, language, spelling, and mathematics.
Meeting most state and umbrella school requirements for annual testing, the California Achievement Test offered by Academic Excellence provides insight into students' scholastic progress by scoring grade equivalency, percentile ranking, and stanine.

PASS Test
The P.A.S.S. (Personalized Achievement Summary System) Test is a standardized test designed for students in grades 3-8.
It is a non-timed test. This reduces or eliminates the test anxiety often arising around standardized testing.
Because not all students are at the same level in any particular grade, it incorporates a pretest to determine the most appropriate level test to administer in each of the three subjects (Reading, Math, and Language). When tests are scored, the student’s responses to the specific level tests they took are then used to generate a report, which includes a comparison of the student to others in their same grade, as well as some specific recommendations.
Stanford or Iowa Test
IOWA (K-12th)- The new IOWA Tests Form E are standardized tests nationally normed in 2011 & 2017 that measure student achievement and growth across a continuum of next generation learning standards. These tests can monitor growth using a continuous, researched-based, vertical scale to accurately measure academic progress from kindergarten through high school. The IOWA Form E can indicate college and career readiness through high-quality, easily accessible, and interpretable assessment data helping educators and families determine whether students are on track for college and careers. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required for administration.
STANFORD (3rd-12)-The Stanford Online is an untimed, multiple-choice assessment that follows an easy-hard-easy question format where items are arranged to facilitate student engagement and test completion. No degree required. Seton is the Test Administrator.
